Umano AI ("we," "us," or "our") provides business management software for service companies. Our platform helps you manage invoices, customers, jobs, and payments. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide.
Business data you enter: This includes customer names, addresses, phone numbers, invoice records, job details, payment history, and any other data you input into the platform. This data is yours — we are processors, not owners.
Usage data: We may collect information about how you use the Service (pages visited, features used, error logs) to improve performance and fix bugs. This data does not identify individual customers.
Device information: Basic browser and device information collected automatically by Firebase (our infrastructure provider) for security and service delivery.
We do not use your data to train AI models, show you advertising, or sell to third parties.
The customer names, addresses, emails, and other contact information you enter belong entirely to you. We act as a data processor on your behalf. You are the data controller for your customers' information and are responsible for having a lawful basis for processing it.
If you connect your Gmail account to send invoices, we use the Gmail API with OAuth 2.0. This means:

We implement security rules that prevent any user from accessing another user's data. No employee of Umano AI can access your business data except in limited circumstances to diagnose technical issues, and only with your consent.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you close your account, you may request deletion of your data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if required by law.

We use browser local storage to save your app preferences, session tokens, and cached business data for offline use. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
